More and more articles are appearing on different websites proclaiming the benefits of staying at home and playing some board games.  Now that you have an excuse to get some quality time with friends or family, why not try a new board game everyone can play, …and do well in.  There are several new board games out that can bring family and friends together in a wonderful evening of connection.

One recent article talks about stores doing promotions to help families create game nights. In this recent article “Family Night Giveaway” by writer Lynnae, she compares the cost of a simple movie for group of five costing more than one board game costing under $40 “Have you been to the movies lately?  ….Tickets on a weekend night range from $7-upwards of $10, …With the price of a night out at the movies so high …. encourage families to spend an entertaining night at home. For $40, which is less than a night out at the ….you can have a wonderful night of games, dvds, and good food….”

We started having game nights at our house, and after a few plays of Trivia or matching apples and other fruits for fun, we found we needed to find a game that’s new and interesting every time we play it.  Do Tell created a series of games based on relationship and connection, which felt like the magic works. The colorful board and cards create a “quality time space” to share what’s on my mind and my family’s minds in unique and interesting ways.  The bonus is I also feel like I am being heard by my partner and kids. Plus they get to know me a little better as a person.
