People around the Do Tell offices asked why we have a Bed & Breakfast section. They asked me because it was my idea. Why? …because I bring the Do Tell game with me when I travel. I have even left one or two at various lodging spots. Playing the game on the road works for me and my friends, several of whom have also taken it on road trips with fun results.
So, until some traveling player wants to stop playing the game just long to actually write about the fun they had, I guess this story will be it for now. Personally, I think every vacation home and bed & breakfast should have some fun games for people to play. After all, when I am traveling through New England or on the Pacific North coast, I find I can take out the Do Tell game, put it on a table in the dinner area on a rainy evening, and in no time have two to four people sitting down just to talk and roll the dice.
The questions are just perfect because everyone can answer them. You don’t have to know sports or TV stars, and no matter what card you draw, I have never seen an answer which made someone look dumb.
The game just works to break the ice among travelers. And usually some stories creep in during the rounds while the fireplace crackles, and the conversation drifts off to other places traveled in different times. My advice, tell the inn keeper at your next vacation spot to go to our website and contact us about getting a B&B promo package for his place. You may be rewarded by finding smiling face greeting you on your next check in.
